Every December & January we always live our lives focused on the famous quote "New year new me". We say we are committed to changing our lives for the better. We make the plans but we don't really apply. We have all these great new ideas how we want our lives to be different and how we are going to do better. We say we are welcoming in the new but we made the error of not getting rid of the old or creating an environment for the things we are asking for including internal goals to be able to flourish. We are trying to welcome in a new lifestyle with the same mindset and in the same type of environment. There's no way anything new could survive in an outdated environment.
Instead of looking at the date and expecting things to change let's focus on changing our environment instead. Every living being has two environments. The Internal Environment is how we deal with ourselves privately. How we feel towards ourselves, others, our current life situation, and our perspective. Our External Environment is how we interact with others, handle situations, and the reality of our current life situation. I have a saying that our External Environment reflects our Internal Environment. In other words, in order to get your life right or to reach the goals you have for yourself or others you have to have you right first!!!
STEP #1
How can you get the ground prepared???
The purpose of this exercise is to shift your focus and perspective so that you may be able to provide an environment that whatever your goals are in life whether internal or external they can thrive. In order to progress you have to process. So the first thing that needs to be done is a self-reflection of your strengths and weaknesses. What needs to be changed & what can you focus on improving more??? God is the land and you are the soil. The land will multiply whatever you give back to it. However, if the soil is not right you won't get much out of it if anything at all. So the first step is getting you in the energy to be able to see every step of completing your garden all the way through to its season of harvest.
Once you have completed the previous step of overturning the ground in your garden it is time to start planting the seeds. Do the work until the mission is completed!!!
STEP #2
What seeds are you planting for the new year???
I have a saying be intentional about your intentions. When you plant the seeds what is the purpose & outcome that you want for them. Be aware of your energy when you are planting the seeds and also be aware where your focus is. Some seeds might be seeds that you have planted before and they didn't reach their harvest season. Some seeds that you plant will be new seeds that you have no experience with before. Plant seeds that will challenge you to come out of your comfort zone. As I say there is no path to success in your comfort zone. Don't overwhelm yourself by trying to plant 100 seeds. There are only 365 days in the year let's not overdo it!!! Plant seeds that will be useful to not only your physical life (finances, your health, your physical appearance, & your economic status) but as well for your mental, spiritual, and emotional bodies as well.
Make a list of what seeds you are planting. Be realistic. Don't oversaturate the list so that each goal is obtainable. Make a list not just for your financial situation but also for your spiritual, mental, and emotional bodies as well. Plant no more than 12 seeds (after all its only 12 months in a year).
STEP #3
What are things you can do to help your garden flourish & come to harvest?? What are things you need to change to allow the natural process to happen???
The key ingredient to this step is PATIENCE!!! You don't want to eat a half-baked cake so let it cook!!! Instead of sitting & watching to see if there is any progress actually do something productive towards completing your goal. What are daily habits & routines that you can change??? What are things that you can focus on to get in alignment with it???
STEP #4
What are ways that you will take care of and cherish the harvest when it arrives once you receive it??? What are ways that you can stay in the energy of harvest & keep the harvest continuous???
When you have a newborn you prepare ahead of time for them. Treat your seeds of harvest as if they are your newborn baby. How can you prepare your internal & external environment to help your seeds of harvest flourish??? What is a daily & weekly routine you can create to keep the growth of your harvest continuous??? If you love something you show appreciation for it by tending to it regularly.

Once you have your supplies begin building your garden by writing at the bottom what your seeds are. You can get creative and write it in an actual seed that you made or drew or just write the words plain. You can be creative & draw grass once you have some growth, add butterflies once you got through a transition, etc. When you have progress with your goal write or draw a stem for that particular seed. When your goal reaches it's harvest write or draw your harvest. By the end of the year I hope you have a beautiful garden that is your safe space & serenity. Blessings on your journey.
